The Automotive Technology program is designed to last 12 months and has start dates every three weeks!⁷ With a focus on career readiness, our program helps aspiring technicians develop foundational knowledge surrounding the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of domestic and import automobiles. Students also gain knowledge that helps prepare them to take ASE certification exams after graduating!

UTI’s Diesel & Industrial Technology program can be completed in just 11 months and offers start dates every three weeks to help accommodate your schedule!⁷ Course topics teach students to service diesel-powered equipment, and students build the basic knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue careers and test for ASE certification after graduating.

Students can choose from two programs: Collision Repair & Refinish Technology (CRRT), which lasts 12 months, or CRRT + Estimating (13 months). Graduates of both can earn diplomas and industry-recognized I-CAR certifications. Courses designed with the help of five industry-leading brands including I-CAR, 3M and Audatex teach students to reshape and restore vehicles damaged by collision.

The Welding Technology program lasts 9 months and equips students with industry-relevant skills. Students practice the four arc welding processes in a hands-on environment outfitted with tools and technology seen in the field. The program was created in collaboration with industry leader Lincoln Electric so students can graduate with hands-on experience to help them pursue entry-level roles.

Do you enjoy using technology to solve problems? The 12-month Robotics & Automation Technician program might be for you. You’ll take courses in computer-aided design, programming and industrial robotics and learn to automate tasks for industries ranging from manufacturing to automotive.

The Wind Turbine Technician training program provides students with foundational knowledge on renewable energy sources, wind technology, wind turbine operation and more. Graduate in just seven months and begin pursuing roles as a wind turbine, field service or installation technician!

In just seven months, you can build the skills needed to become an industrial maintenance technician. This hands-on program covers essentials like energy industrial fundamentals and electrical theory, preparing students for a career in industries like manufacturing, nuclear, solar and gas.

Practice maintaining, diagnosing and repairing various heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems at UTI Houston. This nine-month program builds students’ knowledge from the ground up through hands-on courses like Indoor Air Fundamentals and Duct Fabrication, Construction Codes and EPA 608, Commercial Refrigeration and more.

Gain skills that can prepare you for roles in a wide range of industries, ranging from manufacturing to medicine. In our nine-month Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician program, students learn to test the structural integrity of products using the same methods techs in the field do.
